I have made a pact with myself before not to take PAL since my first flight with PAL to Singapore. The flight attendants at that time were all “masungit”. I guess this is the time I’ll be putting an end to that treaty. I had a very nice flight and it seems all the FA’s had changed over the years. From now on, if I’ll be paying with a little difference from other budget airlines, I’ll just take PAL instead. Plus no stress or hassle as I won’t be going to NAIA Airport where I am usually upset after I’ve gone through the immigration. And no long queues! At exactly 4AM, I was already out of the airport with my luggage in tow but no “sundo” yet hehehe. Wow, I really am early. Few minutes passed, I saw sister Kendz and Mom and went home. Our new home was unbelievably cozy and nice. Our breakfast was pandesal with Reno and keso and noodles with lots and lots of kwento! Sarap! Sister Apple was huge! She’s suppose to be giving birth anytime from today till tomorrow but it looks like it will still take days or even weeks. So we decided to go for another checkup. No rest and that’s fine with me =) While waiting for my them to get dressed, I went with Sister Kendz’s pharmacy store. Wow. I felt proud of my Sister A’s achievement so far. It’s only 3 months old. The new house they moved in to was just a few feet away from the store which is really good. As soon as everyone’s dressed, we went to UST for Sister A’s checkup. We’ve waited for her name to be called. After two hours of waiting I asked Sister A to check her name. But the intern doctor or whatever she is who’s taking care of listing the names misplaced sister A’s card which she insisted that Sister A didn’t gave her the card. This is some bits of our conversation though not exactly as it was.
Binigay mo ba card mo?
Sister A: Opo, sayo ko pa nga inabot eh.
Intern Dok: Wala dito. *without looking at the files on the table*
*I came at my sister’s side to check on what’s happening*
Intern Dok: Eh wala nga eh. *looking at some files and her pocket*
Sister A: Sigurado akong inabot ko sayo.
Me: *to Sister A* Sure ka sa kanya mo inabot?
Sister A: Oo ate.
Me: *to bitchy intern* Wala namang nagsasabi sayo kung itinago mo yung card
or something. Why don’t you look around the files. Let me help you sort this
Sister A: Opo Ma.
Intern Dok: *mahina pero rinig namin* Eh wala nga dito eh. Wala naman talaga
inabot sa kin. Aanhin ko naman yun. *naghanap. Nakita sa files sa harap nya. Nakasingit card ni Sister A* Ano bang name? Eto ba?
Sister A: Oo ayan nga.
Mommy: Ayan o.
Me: See?
Intern Dok: Eh may nagsingit nga eh. Malay ko ba.
Nakuuuuu! She didn’t even apologized! Parang walang pinagaralan! Anyway, I ignored her totally. The other intern assured us that she’ll put Sister A’s name first on the list after the high risk check-ups. (Found out high risk were those pregnant women who got complications) I insisted on the doctor that how we’ll we know that my sister is not high risk as she’s almost overdue and we want to check. So she put Sister A’s name first on the list. Pag-upo namin yung ibang mga mother na nagiintay talked to us. Sabi nila buti daw ginanon naming yung babaeng yun dahil sobrang sungit nga daw. We didn’t make a scene naman. We just clearly emphasized our point to that girl. =)
Since it’s almost lunchtime, we went for lunch sa chowking. I’m really amazed at Sister A’s appetite and bunso grabe hehehe. After lunch, we went to SM San Lazaro to scout for the baby’s crib. She’d bought a lot of baby stuff already aside from some things I bought in Singapore. We’ve found one cutesy pink crib for 4,000 plus pesos so we bought it na rin. We went back to UST around 2PM. Few minutes later she was called. Before this checkup, her last ultrasound was a month ago which says she’s already 40 weeks and her due date was between Nov 2 – 8. But after her ultrasound now, baby is about 38 weeks only and her due is on the 26th. We got confused and overly worried that she might get overdue. We’ve heard a lot of horror stories about those overdue pregnancy. After her checkup we went back to SM to pick up the crib and we bought some dinner too. Went home and had some rest =) First Day’s over. It looks like everything’s ready … except for Naomi. I guess I’ll be going home without seeing her yet. *Sigh*
