Busy Bee on a Monday

Today was a busy day for me. We fetch Princess C from School and head straight to my appointment with my OB which I am really not looking forward to. Last time I was at my OB's office we paid 500 bucks for all that shenanigans and now here it is again. At least it's a 200 bucks cheaper. Sheesh. I am so going back to my previous OB as this will make us financially drained. Good thing the only findings now is 1) I am low blood which I've always been. Ferrous Sulfate is all I need. 2) PAP Smear result is better now. Yeyyy!

Our next stop was at Lucky Plaza to have mine and Princess C's photo taken for our Visa Application. Then shop, shop and shop for some winter clothes especially for the little one. We then met Dadi for late dinner at Gerry's Grill.

Again, after midnight, we managed to book a hotel via Agoda. One more and we will be on our way of counting down the days!

here's the breakdown of that suppose to be PAP Smear appointment only :p

Cheska's Doctor Moment

Cheska has been very afraid of going to the doctor. It's always our panakot to her whenever we want her to do something. It started only when we went to Gleneagles for her checkup.

Yesterday, since hubby was on leave, I asked him if he could bring cheska to the doctor for her allergies. It went well. Great actually that I wanted to send fruits to that doctor :D Here's why :)

When i came home last night, she came to me and told me.

Cheska: Mommy, girls doctor are bad. boys doctor are good.

It wasnt clear to me until dadi told me the doctor was a very gentle guy. And i remember her last pedia was a lady who always smiles but never gentle on kids.

Cheska: Mommy look I have minnie mouse ticker. Doctor give me this. You want ticker? Princess ticker?

Mommy: I want sticker too!

Cheska: Doctor will give you lets go mommy.

Mommy: But I'm scared of the doctor

Cheska: No mommy. Cheska not scared. I'll hold your hand.

Mommy: Promise?

Cheska: Yes

Mommy: Ok!

Then in the bed before we sleep, I knew she really enjoyed her visit to the pedia.

Cheska: Mommy lets go to doctor tom so you have princess ticker.

That night she didnt scratch so much! Im so loving that pedia for making cheska not afraid of their "kind" and fr curing my baby's itchiness! Hooray to Physiogel also!

Yipeeeee!

Tricks @ 2 Yrs and 10 months

I can't help but blog about her. She always got something up her sleeve to make us laugh or surprise us with each new things she learn on her own. I am not really much knowledgable about how kids her age act, learn and do things. I just know she had something in her and that makes us really glow with much happiness.

At her age, she knows by heart the alphabet and numbers and shapes. I owe much it to iPad. She really had learned so much from it and fast if i may say. She can communicate wrll and understand what you are trying to tell her. So when she's being stubborn we know that she's just really being that and not bec she's only a child.

I blame myself for not having that much time spend with her but if i could, I really would. She has changed who I am and lets me learn new things too while she picks them up for herself.

Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing in our life. She's the only reason why we are glowing and happy inspite of all the hardships. I love her so much.

I love you cheska kulit. You are mommy's everythig and mommy's world.

Cheska’s 1st Asthma attack

It’s official now. She’s inherited only one thing from me, and it’s the least thing I want to pass on to her. Yesterday, Ate Bheng SMS me that she had high fever and she’s coughing. I didn’t know she’s having an asthma-kind-of-cough. You know how parents feel when they see their very energetic, hyper kids watching TV without any hint of energy? It’s really a killer. Plus I know how it feels to have this asthma and I felt so sorry for her. She didn’t have a decent sleep last night either. She’s like waking up at least every hour or so because she couldn’t breathe. And what’s worst she wants me to carry her only. Sometimes, I really felt bad when I stir and heard her crying and that I’ve been asleep while she can’t. I gave her a cough medicine but I know it wouldn’t helped her breathing. It did make her sleep though. This morning, she’s still high with fever and her breathing is still as heavy as my heart feels. I called her pedia in Mt. Alvernia for consultation but they were already closed and they suggested their branch in Gleneagles. Goodness, not that hospital. I know how expensive it is there. Good thing it can be claimed from dadi’s office. We went there and it was the first time she cried so much even just taking her temperature. We manage to gave her the nebulizer her and as expected, she did feel a lot better. I’m happy! The bill? It costs us $268 but it costs nothing seeing her makulit side again. From that hefty amount, it includes the 4 days rental of the nebulizer machine. Thank you Lord for she’s got better now. Thank you also for that Dr. Nancy Tan for she’s got a lot patience in her stream to deal with our little miss.

Cheska @ 20 Months

At twenty months, she’s now quite a handful to handle. She’s pushing us to the limits when she’s having her tantrums. But it all melts away in an instant when she smiles or when she does something that amazes us how she managed to come up with such ideas. I’m a first time mom and it still amazes me until now how her little mind has developed. Up until now I’m still thankful that God has given me this chance to be a witness of how life evolves. There are times that I still longed to be a SAHM because I know there’ll be more bliss to be the first one to witness all of her developments. I’m not a perfect mom nor anywhere close to what a real mom is. I am just me. Someone who is still trying to learn from all the things she’s learning. Someone who will always be amazed at how and why she’s developed different things in her stages of life. There are times that I just stare at her, watching her move, watching her fingers glide through what the modern technology brings her, watching her utter the words, one at a time – conversing to us what she wants and what she doesn’t. This is a journey of my life that I know is not at all full of roses but I know deep inside that I’ll still enjoy going through. I love her so much. I couldn’t call myself a real mom because I’m far from the real meaning of it. But I am proud to know and say that I’m that someone who has that chance to be a witness of all the developments in her life. Thank you Lord for giving her to us. Because while she tries to learn, we do too. I love you bebe Cheska for this weekend. You made us see another new things you’ve just started to explore in your own way. Buying the iPad is one of the good things I think I did. She’s learn a few words and few things because of it. :) Four more months and I hope we’ll get through this terrible-two stage :D

Cheska @ Gymboree

Last night was bebe's first time to play in a "kid's haven" at Gymboree at Harbourfront. Sadly, there were only about 4 kids there and all of them are busy playing by themselves with all the toys around. Cheska's so happy with the things she could do. When one baby was trying to reach her ball, I was surprised that she handed it to the baby gently and was not "madamot". I was hoping to enroll her so she could learn to interact more and learn her alphabets and numbers and shapes but I'm not sure if enrolling her is a good idea. I don't want her to feel the pressure of school yet or dreading through the time she was in there that some kids might bully her or worst she bullying them :D. We might try this per session thing first and then we'll see from there if both of us can handle it. I think she enjoy the whole hour of playing there. Well, she should :p. It costs us $20 bucks lol. It's only $12 for members but membership will cost us another $50.

Cheska @ 19 Months

176741_10150202416477524_769967523_9034177_1785273_o Main highlight: Not yet eating rice or ulam. Still into milk/biscuits/bread kind of thing. I was advised to try to force so you'll get used to the idea of eating rice. We tried last night but you screamed like crazy and we were so embarassed with all our housemates. You are funny and makulit. Going home to you each day seems to be the most awaited time of my whole day from work. Playing with you and tickling you and you making mami and dadi laugh at your jokes in your own little way washes away the tiredness we felt from working 8 hours in the office. I love how you and dadi fight over TV when it's basketball season and you screamed "bahney" on him. Who won? Of course no doubt, it's always you! Whenever I look at you and thinking how fast time is flying by, I always thought of just staying at home and teach you alphabets and numbers and shapes. We will always fight from time to time and I will always lose my patience *i have a very thin line when it comes to patience :)* but I know that we will always have a great time bonding and spending time together doing things and making sure you're on the right track of learning what kids your age knows these days. But I have to work. And I know and trust that God has given you enough wisdom to learn them one by one. I love how every night we make it a habit to pray before going to sleep. Thank you for this joy little one. Now I understand the happiness and joy of being a parent.

Cheska's First Time to Singapore Zoo

It was a long time plan since bebe C was able to recognize animals from the pictures and could able to say some of them. The plan was finally realized yesterday. We arrived at the zoo past 2 already but we still enjoyed the "family bonding". No yaya and we survived! I can't put in words the happiness I felt seeing Cheska with so much joy that time. It's really priceless. The shriek of glee whenever she see familiar animals that she only see in the pictures and TV is undeniably invaluable. When we watched the animal friends show she literally jump for joy when she saw the dogs closely. After the show, we let her touched the dogs she loved them! The kids playground inside the zoo is superb :) Even I, enjoyed the look and feel of the place. For Cheska, she wasn't afraid of the dogs, the cat, the horse and the goat but she is strangely scared of the bubbles lol. We let her play in the kid's area where there is a mini pool for the kids. I don't know where this kid get her energy but my guess is from the thrill of the new experience she had. I hope she will always be a kid at heart - one who easily enjoys the simple beauty of life. We felt so tired physically but the exhaustion is nothing compares to seeing her beautiful smile :) We ended the night having dinner at Nando's at Plaza Singapura. Thank you dadi for spoiling your girls.
