Marche Bar and Bistro

Yesterday was really one of my not so good days. As sweet as ever, dadi knows how to cheer me up. We ended up in Raffles in Marche Bar and bistro. We were kind of surprise at first at their menu as there's not much choice. We did try the roasted chicken gourmet pizza and the back bacon and cheese roll crepe. Glass of riesling for me and a beer for dadi. Food was absolutely divine and good for two serving. I even over reacted at the taste of the crepe since I am not a fan. And the wood fired pizza is so delicious. I was not even hungry at that time but we ate a lot! Now I cant stop thinking about it and I am now continually advertisin the place for free lol! Pictures we took was not good but you really have to try them even once and let me know if it's just me or they are really good.

Happy Friday

Today is relocation day. I moved from 26th floor to 31st floor on the same building. And I can’t tell you how happy I am with my new place! No “maingay-na-katabi-na-anaptsi” and no “i-am-better-than-you-looks” from the pinays :D And the view is A-mey-zing! Here’s a before and after shot of my workplace.

My previous place with the view. I’m already ok with my previous place but the new one is amazing :)

My new place with the view. Never mind the monitor but now I have a lot to move with my place.

On another note, boss #4 sent an email last monday about a planned night out with the team at Iguana, Clarke Quay. I wasn’t planning of joining since I really don’t think I’d enjoy since most of them know each other very well. I feel like butting in if you know what I mean. This morning, I got another email *and the 4 others who don’t have any plans of joining too*, with a very “inviting” tone lol. I don’t want to be padelisyus so I joined in and planned on leaving early. I never though I’d say this but I really enjoyed the night out with the team. Who won’t be with the overflowing margarita and fajitas and tacos and all types of mexican food. And it’s actually genuinely fun. Thanks Boss Gina! I hope we didn’t make you cry later for the bill which already costs a luxurious bag. You truly are generous!

The strawberry margarita is way better than the mango and pink guava. I really got tipsy. I don’t know how many pitchers we had ordered. Whew!

Heart’s Day

So as not to make this blog feel the melancholic of the departure of our little angel, mama faye will still continue blogging about everything. Know that you’ll always be here in our hearts, bunso. Always be remembered. Happy heart’s day our little cupid.
For years that Mr. A and I had been together, it’s rare that we go out on valentines day itself even when we were just starting. First, we wanted to avoid the crowd. Secondly, we don’t want to do the very cliché valentines date, no offense to those who do. Thirdly, I hate seeing flowers everywhere I look. Honestly, I don’t like flowers. They wither. They are exorbitantly pricey *here in Singapore*. And they are good for few weeks but afterwards they are good for nothing but trash. But here’s the big BUT. I “ooooh” whenever I see guys taking the effort to buy and bring and give them to their partners. I smile whenever I see heart shaped helium balloons or one single red rose or a teddy bear. It always brought me back to my high school days. :) I like the idea of flowers on a valentines day on other people. And I like seeing the imaginary little hearts floating in the air every 14th of the second month of the year :)
Anyway, we went out last friday and went to Que Pasa - our used-to-be hangout place – to have a little date. Our feet just took us there. We were glad to found a vacant place outside because we love to do people-watching game. We were ecstatic to see that my favorite beef stew is back! Hooray!
As for today, V day, we were home by 9, had pinoy style bistek and watched “Gullivers Travel” *thanks ami!* with baby C and it was the perfect valentines date for me. Well, until she got bored *after only 15 minutes!* and took out all her toys. :D A perfect date is not about the fancy restaurant or the beautiful bouquet but the person or the people you’re with during this time of the month.
Happeeeee V Day everyone! Spread the love!
